How to Edit a Video on the YouTube Website Here's how to edit a YouTube video from your web browser: Log in to your YouTube account, and click Your Videos in the left-vertical pane. Hover over the video you want to edit, and click the pencil icon when it appears. Edit the following video Details: Title: Type the title of the video.Description: Type a description of the video.Thumbnail: Choose a pre-selected thumbnail from your video, or click Upload thumbnail to select a different image. Click Save in the upper-right portion of the screen. How to Edit a YouTube Video on the App Log in to your YouTube account and tap the profile image in the upper-right corner. Select YouTube Studio from the drop-down menu. In the Videos section, tap a video to edit. Tap the pencil icon in the upper-right portion of the video. To edit the video thumbnail, tap the pencil icon in the upper-left corner of the video. Choose a pre-selected video thumbnail, or click Custom thumbnail to upload an image. Tap Select in the upper-right corner of the screen. To edit the title, highlight and replace the current title, or type a title if there is none. To edit the description, tap Add description. How to Trim and Add Filters to a YouTube Video on the App When you upload a video on the YouTube app, you can also trim the video and add a filter. You can only trim or filter videos during the video upload process on the mobile app. Upload the video on the YouTube app (Profile icon > Your channel > Create > Upload a video). At the bottom of the screen, drag the front portion of the video to the right to trim the beginning of the video. Drag the end portion to the left to trim the end of the video. If you only want to trim the video, tap Next in the upper-right corner. If you want to add a filter, tap the filter icon in the lower-right portion of the screen. Select the Filters icon to see the many filters available. You can give your video an HDR effect, turn it black and white, make it more vivid, or apply any number of other fun, intriguing effects.
