Final Take

Setting up and using the Yamaha YSP-2200 is straight forward. All you have to do is place the YSP-CU2200 Sound Projector Unit on shelf or stand in front, above, or below your TV, and then connect your source components (Blu-ray, DVD, etc...) and then connect it your TV. In addition, place the NS-SWP600 Passive Subwoofer on the floor where you would like. A wireless infrared remote control and Intellibeam micrphone are provided to assist in getting the whole thing going.

Using the provided Intellibeam microphone you can use either manual or auto system calibration option. However, I strongly suggest using the automatic setup option.

The Yamaha YSP-2200 provides a good surround sound experience, especially when you consider it all comes out the main unit and subwoofer. Although the YSP-2200 lacks some of the finer performance characteristics of traditional home theater audio system with separate speakers for each channel, it is definitely preferable to listening to inadequate TV speakers and many other sound bar systems.
