That means your Twitter posts are visible to anyone who has access to the Internet. People can find them on the public Twitter timeline (visible by selecting the "Everyone" tab from your Twitter home page), by visiting your profile URL, or through search engine keyword searches. Alternately, you can configure your Twitter account to protect your profile.
