The Walmart Grocery app is a rather simple app for shopping online for food and other consumer goods. If you don't have much time or patience for walking the physical aisles of brick-and-mortar stores and standing in line, you can use this mobile app to place a shopping order from anywhere.

If you'd rather get your groceries delivered instead of picking them up, the app can take care of that for you, too, in a growing number of areas.

You can also shop for many non-food items from categories such as Health & Nutrition, Pets, Toys, and Sports & Electronics.

What We Like:

  • The app is fairly intuitive to navigate, even for novices.
  • You don't need to join a loyalty club to use this app.

What We Don't Like:

  • This app is a one-trick pony. Unlike shopping apps from other supermarkets, it doesn't provide any extra frills, such as online couponing, recipes, or the ability to sign up for newsletters on topics like nutrition.
  • Although you can save favorite items for addition to future shopping carts, you can't save entire shopping lists.
  • There's no way of editing your order from your cart. Instead, you need to go back to the item listing and either tap the minus icon to remove it or tap the plus and minus icons to change the quantity.
