What Content Can You Watch on CNN+?

CNN+ will feature a slate of brand new shows, movies, and documentaries. It will also include on-demand access to a lot of CNN’s non-news content, including shows like Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, and United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell.

In addition to on-demand shows, movies, and documentaries, you can watch live programming on CNN+. Unlike other streaming services with only pre-produced, on-demand content, CNN+ will feature about eight to twelve hours of live programming each day. This live content will be totally unique to the CNN+ service, and it won’t be broadcast on the CNN cable channel.

How Is CNN+ Different From CNN?

While CNN+ is a streaming service from CNN, and it features similar content, the streaming service and cable channel are totally separate. CNN’s regular live news programming will not be available on CNN+, as CNN+ will have its own, unique, live programming instead. The live programming on CNN+ will focus more on deep-dives of timely subjects than repeating the same live news already on CNN. If you want to stream the CNN cable channel, you can do so through live television streaming services like YouTube TV and Hulu With Live TV.

How to Watch CNN+

When the CNN+ streaming service launches in 2022, you’ll be able to watch it through a variety of different methods. The primary way to watch CNN+ will be the CNN+ website, which will include a streaming video player. You’ll also be able to watch CNN+ through an app on your phone and a variety of streaming devices.

What Is CNN+?

CNN+ is a streaming service from CNN aimed at delivering news, informational, and entertainment content. The content available on CNN+ is similar to the content broadcast by the CNN cable channel, and there is some overlap, but CNN+ has its own unique content and streams its own original live news content instead of streaming CNN’s live news coverage. In addition to brand new content from new creators, the service will also showcase many familiar faces from CNN’s current shows.

The CNN+ service is subscription-based, and it’s available regardless of whether you have a cable subscription or you’re a cord-cutter. To stream from CNN+, all you need is a subscription, a high-speed internet connection, and a device like a computer, laptop, phone, or streaming device.

While CNN+ has a smaller library than services like HBO Max and Netflix, it’s more focused and also includes content you can’t get anywhere else. It’s primarily aimed at viewers who enjoy CNN and want more. Original content should be more in-depth yet based on the subjects CNN’s programming typically covers, and the service will also include on-demand access to a variety of shows originally broadcast on CNN.

The aspect that should make CNN+ unique compared to other streaming services is its focus on live, daily programming. Unlike Netflix, which releases shows all at once for binge-watching, or Disney+ which releases new shows on a weekly basis, CNN+ will actually have new, live programming each day just like the CNN cable network itself. Additionally, the service will allow subscribers to participate in an interactive community and engage directly with many of the experts featured in CNN+ programming.
