The MobileMe Mail SMTP server settings were used by Apple's discontinued MobileMe suite of online services, used to send email from a MobileMe Mail account through an email client.

The domain predated the July 2008 relaunch of Apple's web services as MobileMe by several years. All services were transitioned and replaced by iCloud and the service ceased as of June 30, 2012, with transfers to iCloud available until July 31, 2012.

What Were the MobileMe Mail and SMTP Settings

  • MobileMe Mail SMTP server address:
  • MobileMe Mail SMTP username: Your MobileMe Mail username
  • MobileMe Mail SMTP password: Your MobileMe Mail password
  • MobileMe Mail SMTP port: 587
  • MobileMe Mail SMTP TLS/SSL required: yes

The username is what precedes "" in your MobileMe Mail address. For instance, if your MobileMe Mail email address is "", "example" is the username.

iCloud Email Addresses

  • If you created an iCloud account on or after September 19, 2012, your email address ends with 
  • If you created an iCloud account before September 19, 2012, or moved to iCloud with an active MobileMe account before August 1, 2012, you have both and email addresses.
  • If you had a working email address as of July 9, 2008, kept your MobileMe account active and moved to iCloud before August 1, 2012, you can use,, and email addresses with your iCloud account.
