Here is a view of the both the front (top) and rear (bottom) panels of the Vizio Co-Star unit.

As you can see, there is no physical on/off power button on the Vizio Co-Star unit. This means that the on/off, as well as all the other functions, can only be accessed by the provided remote control. Don't lose your remote!

Moving to the bottom portion of the photo is a look at the rear connection panel of the Vizio Co-Star

Starting on the far left is an HDMI input, this is where you connect the HDMI output of cable or satllite box. Moving is an HDMI output. This connection allows both audio and video (up to 1080p) to be output to an HDMI-equipped home theater receiver or HDTV. Just above the HDMI output is a USB port. This port can be used to access content stored compatible USB devices, such as flash drives, for connection of the accessory game controller.

Continuing to move right is a LAN or Ethernet connection. This provides one way to connect the Vizio Co-Star to your internet router. However, if you choose to use the built-in WiFi connection option, you do not need to use the Ethernet connection.

Finally, on the far right, is the AC adapter power receptacle.

Shown in this photo is the Wireless Remote Control provided with the Vizio Co-Star.

As you can see, the remote is of average size (in fact it is larger than the entire Vizio Co-Star unit), and it fits easily in your hand. The buttons on the remote are not too small, but the remote is not backlit, making it tricky to use in a darkened room.

Across the top of the remote are the Power buttons followed by direct access buttons for Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, and M-GO internet streaming services.

Next are transport buttons (Play, Pause, FF, Rewind, Chapter Advance).

Just below the transport buttons is the touchpad area, the touch pad works just like touchpads on laptop PCs, allowing an alternative way to navigate onscreen menu functions.

Moving further own are the menu navigation controls. The "V" button provides direct access to the Apps menu.

Next is a row consisting of green (A), red (B), yellow (C), and blue (D) buttons. These buttons are shortcut buttons that can be assigned and reassigned depending on need or preference.

Finally, on the bottom of remote are the direct access alphabetical and numeric buttons. These buttons can used to type in needed codes or access chapters or tracks. It is also important to note that the direct access letters and numbers can also be access via the keyboard that is provided on the opposite side of the remote, which shown in the bottom portion of this photo..

The keyboard shown in the bottom photo is QWERTY fomatter, whith numbers and symbols access provided by the Fn Key. Also, the arrow buttons on the left side can not only be used for menu navigation, but, along with the X, Y, A, B buttons on right side for game play. However, for game play it is best to use the accessory game controller.

Here is a photo of the Google Play menu (essentially a version of Android Market) that allows you to add additional apps to list of active or favorites. Some apps are free and some require a small fee. However, it is important to note that some cases, even if the app is free to download, the service it provides access to may require an additional subscription fee to access content.

It is also important to note that just as you can apps to your listings, you can also delete unwanted apps off your list if you desire, as well as the ability to move apps in and out of your favorites category.

Show on this page is a photo example of the Quick Search function.

I am a real Godzilla fan, so in this example, I wanted to a quick search on the term "Godzilla". What I got back was all the TV, video, and movies results for the big guy currently avialalble.

If you click on the magnifying glass at the top of the list, Google TV will take you all TV, movie, and video results.

If you click on the Google Chrome icon, you can access all results, TV, video, movies, articles, photos, etc... for Godzilla.

Moving down the list, Google TV narrows things down with access to the 1998 Godzilla film, the original 1954 classic, and you can further browse and play any available episodes from the Godzilla animated TV series.
