The functionality is very limited right now, but it can be useful. How to Link Your Xbox One With Discord Connecting your Discord account to your Xbox One is fairly simple provided you know how to do it. The options required for Xbox One integration are a little hidden away. Here are the steps needed to connect the two. On your Xbox One games controller, click the glowing Xbox icon button in the middle of the controller while your Xbox One is switched on. Scroll right until you get to Profile & System. Click Settings. Scroll down to Account. Click Linked Social Accounts. Scroll right and click Link underneath Discord. Press A. Click Yes. On your phone, open the Discord app. If you don't already have it installed, install it from the App Store or Google Play Store. You can also follow similar steps via the web-based version of Discord. Tap Settings. Tap Connections > Add. Tap Xbox Live. Enter the code displayed on your Xbox One. Your accounts will now be linked. What Can You Do With Discord on Xbox? It's possible to link your Discord account with your Xbox One but right now, functionality is very limited. Currently, all you can do is view what your friends are playing on Xbox One via your Discord account. That's not much but it can be useful if you have a lot of friends who play Xbox games and you want to be able to check via one source what they're playing right now. What Can't You Do With Discord on Xbox One? With limited Discord/Xbox One functionality, there's currently not much you can do with a linked account. Here's an overview of what you can't do yet. You can't chat to your friends. Possibly the most important thing that Discord users want to be able to do, there's no cross-platform voice chat so you can't talk to friends on Discord via your Xbox One. This applies to both text and voice chat. You can't chat in a chat channel. Got a beloved favorite Discord chat channel? You also can't converse there on your Xbox One or even simply browse what other people are posting at any time. You can't add friends. Want to add a new friend to your Discord account? You'll need to do that via the app or browser. You can't do this via the Xbox One. You can't join a new server. It's not currently possible to join or add a new server to your Discord list.
