It's easy to unlink a device from your Google account via the web. This includes a Chromecast but also works for any device you use with your Google account, such as computers, phones, tablets, or smart home devices. Here's what to do.

  1. Navigate to your Google account's Your Devices page. Sign in if necessary.

  2. Find the device you want to unlink and select More (three vertical dots) > Sign Out.

  3. A pop-up window warns you that this action will remove access to your Google account from the device. Select Sign Out to complete the unlinking process.

If you don't want to fully remove your account from Chromecast, but don't want to use it for a while, you can disable the Chromecast instead.
