You might notice that whenever a friend or a Page you follow goes Live, you receive a notification encouraging you to tune in. Unfortunately, it isn't always convenient to watch Live videos when they're broadcasting and notifications for them can be nothing but a distraction. If you're regularly bombarded by Live video notifications, you can turn them off right across your Facebook network — or alternatively, turn them off for individual friends and Pages. Go to Facebook.com in a web browser or open the mobile app on your device and sign in to your account. On Facebook.com select the down arrow in the top right corner followed by Settings in the dropdown list. On the app, select the menu icon followed by Settings > Settings & Privacy. On Facebook.com, select Notifications in the vertical menu on the left. On the app, scroll down to the Notifications section and tap Notification Settings. Scroll down and select Video from the list on both Facebook.com and the app. To turn off notifications for live video entirely across Facebook, tap the button next to Allow Notifications on Facebook so that it appears gray and says "Off."
