2010 saw the release of another blockbuster Call of Duty title, a long-awaited sci-fi RTS sequel and many others that make this year's list as one of the most diverse in recent memory. Here's our list of the best PC games of 2010.

In looking over all of the games released in 2010, Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty clearly stood out from the rest. It combines a simple and intuitive interface along with engaging gameplay and storyline for an experience that is both fun and addictive. Not only is Starcraft II my top game of 2010, it's also one of the top games released in the past few years.

Firaxis took some big risks with Civilization V by moving away from some of the proven gameplay mechanics and traditions of the set by previous titles in the grand ​turn-based strategy game series, but I'm pleased to say those risks worked out marvelously. The hexagonal map, non-stackable units, and updated combat rules give the series a fresh new feel.

It is a solid game from top to bottom across both the single and multiplayer game modes and easily one of the top shooters of 2010. It includes a full single-player campaign that follows a misfit group of soldiers called Company 'B' as well as the multiplayer modes that the Battlefield series is famous for.

Another early 2010 release, BioShock 2 follows up the number two game from 2007 with another great storyline, proven game mechanics, and some excellent graphics. Players are put in the role of a "Big Daddy" which offers some fresh gameplay. for fans of the first-person shooter genre who may have grown tired of the prototypical shooter.

Napoleon: Total War is another solid game from Creative Assembly, that always seems to have a Total War game in each year's best of lists. Napoleon: Total War is no exception and improves upon one of 2009's top games, Empire: Total War, by updating graphics, enhanced AI and new single/multiplayer modes. With 8 playable factions, Napoleon: Total War covers the four single player campaigns that follow the career of the famous Emperor of France.

Fallout: New Vegas is a new chapter in the Fallout series, that moves players away from Capital City over to the former Las Vegas as they try and make their way through a post-apocalyptic world.

Dead Rising 2 features a single player campaign as well as multiplayer and co-op game modes.
