The Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model Is Now Available

A thinner gaming laptop

Razer made its latest gaming laptop, the Blade 15 Advanced Model, available for purchase on Tuesday, with some significant changes.

Initially announced in January at the 2021 Consumer Electronics Show, the new Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model lineup is geared towards serious gamers, with features like FHD 360Hz displays for a high-speed advantage or QHD 240Hz displays with 100% DCI-P3 colors.

Powering the newly released laptops is Intel’s 11th-Gen H-Series processor with up to a Core i9, paired with Nvidia’s RTX 30-series GPUs. Displays are fast and go up to 360Hz, and the models utilize DDR4 3200MHz memory.

Razer also claims the Blade 15 RTX 3050 version is the thinnest gaming laptop on the market at 15.8mm. By comparison, the previous Blade 15 model clocked in at 19.9 mm.

Other improvements include higher webcam resolution at 1080p, new fingerprint-resistant coating, and improved palm rejection on the laptops’ trackpads. Also, the 4K OLED version of the Blade 15 Advanced will include the Intel Core i9 Processor for the first time ever.

There’s a wide selection of ports for gamers to utilize, including two new Thunderbolt 4 ports, a UHS-III SD card reader, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a headphone jack. All of the models also support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

Razer lists that updated graphic specs include a battery boost, so the Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model might provide more battery life while playing games than its predecessor.

The new Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model is available now and starts at $2,299, with prices going up to $3,399.

One of the complaints about the previous Razer Blade 15 model was its battery life, but it looks like Razer kept the built-in 65WHr rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery in the new Advanced model lineup. However, Razer's updated graphic specs include a battery boost, so the Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model might still provide more battery life while playing games than its predecessor.
