SiriusXM Radio Offers Christmas and Holiday Music

SiriusXM offers plenty of Christmas and holiday music every season, including carols, holiday soul, Latin seasonal, and Hanukkah music. The holiday channel lineup offerings span various genres and styles from traditional and classics to contemporary tunes along with several unique takes on the holiday season. The holiday offerings are available through standard satellite radio channels, the SiriusXM internet radio app and at SiriusXM.com. Most of the shows reappear each year, although their channels may change. Some channels launch as early as November 1. Here's a rundown of what you can listen to during the yuletide. 

The Basics

Holiday Traditions (channel 4 satellite radio and channel 782 online): If you're looking for an old-fashioned Christmas feeling, you'll love Holiday Traditions, which features seasonal music spanning the decades between the 1940s through 1960s. Artists like Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, and Bing Crosby are just a few of the artists you'll hear.

Holly (channel 70 satellite radio and channel 781 online): The Holly channel plays contemporary holiday hits featuring songs by Kelly Clarkson, Pentatonix, Josh Groban, Madonna, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Brian Setzer, Jimmy Buffett, Mariah Carey, and others.

Holiday Pops (channel 76 satellite, channel 783 internet): The Holiday Pops channel offers classical Christmas carols and holiday favorites performed by noted classical musicians including the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Luciano Pavarotti, the New York Philharmonic, King’s College Choir, the Boston Pops, and Thomas Hampson.

Country Christmas (channel 58 satellite, channel 784 internet): The Country Christmas channel features an assortment of country Christmas music from Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, and Willie Nelson, along with celebrity guest DJs such as Dolly Parton, Little Big Town, and Brenda Lee picking the music and sharing personal memories. Country Christmas also includes the “12 Days of Country Christmas Live,” a series featuring a different artist every day for 12 days. Artists include Collin Raye, John Michael Montgomery, T. G. Sheppard, Exile, The Bellamy Brothers, Mark Wills, and Johnny Lee.

Acoustic Christmas ( channel 14 satellite): Lovers of acoustic holiday music can feast on this channel throughout the holidays. Expect songs from artists like James Taylor, Norah Jones, Indigo Girls, Tori Amos, Jewel and Jason Mraz. 

A Different Musical Twist

Radio Hanukkah (channel 77) features an extensive collection of Hanukkah-themed music including contemporary, traditional and children’s selections as well as daily reflections and prayers related to the holiday.

Navidad (channel 785) features Latin holiday music and traditional sounds, including Jose Feliciano, the Fania All-Stars, Gloria Estefan, Marco Antonio Solis, El Gran Combo, and Tito El Bambino.

Holiday Soul (channel 49 satellite, channel 786 internet) offers classic soul and Motown holiday music from the ‘60s and '70s, along with R&B holiday music from the ’80s and ’90s. Artists include Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Dionne Warwick, The Four Tops, The Supremes, The O’Jays, James Brown, The Temptations, Lou Rawls, and Toni Braxton.

Track Santa and Celebrate New Year's

You and your children can track Santa's sleigh ride on Christmas Eve on Kids Place Live (channel 78 satellite). SiriusXM counts on "friends at North American Air Defense Command (NORAD)" to provide the technology to pinpoint the whereabouts of Santa. You can follow along on your radio. Tune in every 20 minutes starting at 4 p.m. ET Dec. 24 for the latest update on the sleigh’s location.

New Year's Nation (channel 4 satellite, channel 782 internet): The ultimate soundtrack to New Year’s Eve parties around the country features the biggest, upbeat party hits from genres across SiriusXM’s music platform.
