SiriusXM Radio Offers Christmas and Holiday Music

SiriusXM offers plenty of Christmas, Hanukkah, and other holiday music every season, most beginning as early as November 1. One channel even broadcasts year-round for those who just can't get enough jingle in their bells. The channel lineups offer an enormous variety of genres from traditional, classic, and soul to contemporary, humor, children's, and beyond. Here's a rundown of yuletide offerings on Sirius XM as of 2018. 

While most channels reappear each year, their specific channel numbers may change.

The Basics

Holiday Traditions (channel 4 satellite radio, channel 782 online): If you're looking for an old-fashioned Christmas feeling, you'll love Holiday Traditions, which features seasonal music spanning the decades between the 1940s and 1960s. Nat "King" Cole, Andy Williams, and Bing Crosby are just a few of the artists you'll hear. The best part: Holiday Traditions broadcasts all year long.

Holly (channel 70 satellite radio, channel 781 online): The Holly channel plays contemporary holiday hits by Kelly Clarkson, Pentatonix, Josh Groban, Madonna, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Brian Setzer, Jimmy Buffett, Mariah Carey, and other popular artists.

Holiday Pops (channel 76 satellite, channel 783 online): The Holiday Pops channel offers classical Christmas carols and holiday favorites performed by noted classical musicians including the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Luciano Pavarotti, the New York Philharmonic, King’s College Choir, the Boston Pops, and Thomas Hampson.

Country Christmas (channel 58 satellite, channel 784 online): The Country Christmas channel features an assortment of country Christmas music from Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, and Willie Nelson. Celebrity guest DJs such as Dolly Parton, Little Big Town, and Brenda Lee pick music and share personal memories. Country Christmas also offers “12 Days of Country Christmas Live,” featuring a different artist every day for 12 days. Artists include Collin Raye, John Michael Montgomery, T. G. Sheppard, Exile, The Bellamy Brothers, Mark Wills, and Johnny Lee.

A Different Twist

Radio Hanukkah (channel 77) features an extensive collection of Hanukkah-themed music including contemporary, traditional, and children’s selections as well as daily reflections and prayers related to the holiday.

Navidad (channel 785) features Latin holiday music and traditional sounds, including Jose Feliciano, the Fania All-Stars, Gloria Estefan, Marco Antonio Solis, El Gran Combo, and Tito El Bambino.

Holiday Soul (channel 49 satellite, channel 786 online) offers classic soul and Motown holiday music from the ‘60s and '70s, along with R&B holiday music from the ’80s and ’90s. Artists include Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Dionne Warwick, the Four Tops, the Supremes, the O’Jays, James Brown, the Temptations, Lou Rawls, and Toni Braxton.

Track Santa and Celebrate New Year's

Kids Place Live (channel 78 satellite): SiriusXM counts on "friends at North American Air Defense Command (NORAD)" to pinpoint the whereabouts of Santa on Christmas Eve. You and the kids can follow along and get an update on the sleigh's location every 20 minutes starting at 4 p.m. ET Dec. 24.

New Year's Nation (channel 4 satellite, channel 782 online): The ultimate soundtrack to New Year’s Eve parties around the country features upbeat party hits from genres across SiriusXM’s music platform.
