You can use voice commands on an Alexa-enabled device such as the Amazon Echo to make your lists. However, you can also create and manage lists through the app on your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet. Instructions in this article apply to iOS 11.0 or later and Android 6.0 and later. Add Items to Your Alexa Shopping List or To-Do List To add items to an existing list in the Alexa app: Launch the Alexa app on your device and log in if prompted. Tap More (three lines) from the bottom right. Tap Lists & Notes. Select a list. The default options are Shopping and To-do. Tap a list name if you've already created an additional list. Tap a popular list item to add it, or tap Add Item to enter something else to your list. Use the back arrow to return to the previous page. You can also use Alexa to add items to your list with voice commands. Create a New List With the Alexa App To create a new shopping or to-do list and add items to the list: In Lists & Notes, tap Create List. Enter a name for the new list using the on-screen keyboard, and then tap Return. You've created your new list. Add items with your voice or tap Add Item to enter items manually. Access Your Lists With the Alexa App After you add to an existing list or create a new one, here's how to access the items within it. Open the Alexa app. If you already have an ongoing list, tap it directly from the home screen. Otherwise, tap More (three lines) from the bottom right. Tap Lists & Notes. Make sure the Lists tab is selected, and then tap the list you want to access. To mark an item as complete, tap the box next to it to add a check. It will move under the Completed section.
