Checking for Zoho Mail on your iPhone manually and repeatedly is an inconvenient time-waster. Fortunately, you can configure iPhone Mail to connect with your Zoho Mail account seamlessly so you receive push notifications—meaning your phone will let you know automatically as soon as mail hits your Zoho Mail account.

This is accomplished using the Exchange ActiveSync protocol, which keeps your mail and folders in sync.

Zoho Mail Exchange ActiveSync works with paid "Standard 15GB" and free accounts; with other paid accounts, you can use IMAP and POP access.

Set Up Push Notifications for Zoho Mail in iPhone Mail

To add Zoho Mail as an Exchange ActiveSync account to iPhone Mail (including for mail pushing and access to online folders):

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.

  2. Tap Mail > Contacts > Calendars.

  3. Select Add Account.

  4. Tap Microsoft Exchange.

  5. Type your Zoho Mail address (using "" or your own domain) under Email.

  6. Enter your Zoho Mail address again under Username.

  7. Tap your Zoho Mail password under Password. You can leave the Domain field blank.

  8. Optionally, type "Zoho Mail" or whatever you fancy under Description instead of "Exchange."

  9. Tap Next.

  10. Enter "" under Server.

  11. Tap Next.

  12. Make sure Mail is set to ON. To synchronize contacts and calendars with the Zoho suite as well, make sure the respective settings are ON.

  13. Tap Save.

Now, you can pick folders to push and choose how much mail to keep synchronized.
