How to Access Your Top Artists on Spotify While you can't see specific artists you've listened to most often on Spotify itself, you can view your top music and playlists on the Spotify website. Spotify draws the Artist recommendations from the top music you like in the app. In the lower-right corner of the Spotify mobile app, select Your Library, and then select Artists from the top menu. You'll see your artist recommendations. On the Spotify website, select Home from the left menu. Scroll down to the Recently played section. If you scroll down further, you'll see a Based on your recent listening section with recommendations related to your most recent top artists. While these options show you your recent listening habits or music related to your top artists, they don't specifically list top artists. You'll need to use a third-party service, which we cover in the next section. Once logged in, select Top Artists in the middle of the screen, or select the Top Artists menu item at the top. Spotify is excellent at providing you with lists of popular music and artists. But if you want to review the artists you listen to the most, the process isn't as easy. Spotify does offer you a way to review genres and playlists you've listened to most often, but it isn't easy to see specific artists. A third-party service you can access with your Spotify account that lets you do precisely that, as outlined above. FAQ How do artists make money on Spotify? Artists receive a portion of the net revenue Spotify earns from Premium subscription fees and advertising. Spotify tallies the total number of streams for each song by a certain artist, determines the song's official ownerships and who distributes it, and then pays artists. Artists receive payment monthly. Can Spotify artists see who listens? Sort of. With the Spotify for Artists app, Spotify artists can access enhanced stats that show the number of people listening to a song globally at any given time. Other real-time stats are available to the artist for a week after a song is released. Artists can also see if they've gained new followers or if songs have been added to playlists.
