What to Know

  • Press Windows Key + PrtSc (Print Screen) to take and save a screenshot to My Computer > Pictures > Screenshots.

  • Game Bar screenshots are best taken when playing games and are saved to My Computer > Videos > Captures by default.

Taking a screenshot is a built-in feature of the Windows operating system, so for all those with Dell laptops out there, taking a screenshot on your laptop is just like taking a screenshot on any other Windows 10 machine, whether it's made by Dell or not.

However, these are just two of the possible ways to take a screenshot. There are many other ways to do so that will work on not just Dell computers but other Windows 10 computers too.

On laptops, i.e. smaller form factor PCs, the simplest way to take a screenshot is usually the best. On a desktop with multiple monitors, for example, you might need more control over what you screenshot, but this is less often the case with laptops.
