The Samsung Galaxy S23 phones ship with Android 13. Here are some notable specs and features:

  • Three camera modes are available for the S23 Ultra: 12MP (default resolution for photos), 50MP, and 200MP, with a wide f/1.7 aperture (compared to the S22 Ultra's f/2.2 aperture—a lower number translates to more light in the camera sensor, which likely means brighter photos).
  • 8K video recording at 30fps (the S22 supports 8K at 24fps).
  • 3,900 mAh battery for the base model, compared to the Galaxy S22's 3,700 mAh battery.
  • All models have 8 GB of RAM, except for the Ultra variant, which includes 12 GB of RAM. The base model comes with 128 GB of storage, and the highest option is 1 TB for the Ultra.
  • The S23 series includes Adobe Lightroom for Expert RAW photo editing.

This year's lineup includes the following for all three phones: Gorilla Glass Victus 2, HDR10+, under-display fingerprint reader, IP68 rating, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. The S23 Ultra includes the S Pen.
