So, you are watching that really nice large screen 1080p or 4K Ultra HD TV, but you still haven't settled on the best way to get that home theater audio experience. However, you don't want to spend a lot of money, but you want something that is a big leap over those built-in TV speakers.

First up, the HTS-5700 package includes a 5.2 channel receiver (HT-R593).

The receiver has all the connections you need: 6 3D pass-through , Audio Return Channel, and 4K pass-through compatible HDMI inputs. The HT-R593 does not provide 1080p or 4K upscaling.

The Speakers

To complete the HT-S5700 Home Theater-in-a-Box system, a five-channel speaker system is provided.

The speaker system incorporates 2-way bass reflex design center and main speakers with more compact full-range acoustic suspension surround speakers. As mentioned previously, Onkyo also supplies 10-inch bass reflex down-firing subwoofer.
