List of Run Commands in Windows 8

This cheat sheet lists all the Windows 8 run commands

A Windows 8 run command is simply the name of the file used to execute a program. Knowing the run command for a program can be useful if you'd like to start the program from a script file or if you only have access to a command line interface during a Windows issue.

For example, write.exe is the file name for the WordPad program in Windows 8, so you can start that program by executing the write run command. Similarly, the run command Windows uses for Command Prompt is simply cmd.

Calc command in Windows Command Prompt

Most of these commands can be executed from Command Prompt and the Run dialog box, but some are exclusive to one or the other. There are also a few warning notes, so be sure to read them below the table.
