How to Reply to an Email in Yahoo Mail

Reply to an Email in Yahoo Mail

You've received an email in your Yahoo Mail box, and now you want to send a reply to the sender. Here's how:

1. Open the message by selecting it in your Inbox.

2. Select the R key. Alternatively, select Reply in Yahoo Mail's toolbar (arrow pointing to the left).

   Or select Reply all (double arrow pointing to the left) next to Reply to have your reply addressed to all recipients of the original messages (excluding yourself). Make sure your reply is relevant to all recipients if you use this.

3. Compose your message and select Send.

Reply to an Email in Yahoo Mail Classic

To send a reply to an email message in Yahoo Mail Classic:

1. Open the message by selecting it in your Inbox. (To open an email in Yahoo Mail Classic, click on its subject.)

2. Now select Reply at the top left side of the main pane (a single arrow pointing to the left).

   Alternatively, you can also Reply All (double left arrow) or Forward (right arrow) your email reply.

3. Add or remove any additional recipients in the To, CC, or Bcc fields, then begin composing your reply.

   If you find the original message quoted in your reply, make sure you quote properly.

4. When you have finished editing, select Send to deliver your reply.

Prevent Yahoo Mail from Including Original Messages in Emails

If you don't like how Yahoo Mail places original emails in front of replies or forwards, you can quickly turn this off by doing the following:

1. Open an email you want to reply to.

2. Select Reply, Reply All, or Forward.

3. Select Hide original message in the body of your email.

4. You should see Show original message. You can now compose your reply.
