How to Remove an Address From Blocked Senders in Windows Mail

People change their minds now and then. Maybe you put someone on your list of blocked senders in Windows Mail by mistake. Maybe their attitude has changed; maybe your attitude has changed. Whatever the reason, you now want to unblock this person. Follow these easy directions to remove a sender from the Blocked Senders list in Windows Mail.

Remove an Address From Blocked Senders in Windows Mail

To allow a sender's messages back into your Windows Mail Inbox:

  1. Launch Windows Mail.
  2. Select Tools > Junk E-mail Options... from the menu.
  3. Go to the Blocked Senders tab.
  4. Highlight the address or domain you want to delete from the Blocked Senders list.
  5. Click Remove.

How to Back Up All Blocked Senders for Windows Mail

You can back up the entries on your Blocked Senders list. You should do this if you decide to delete all blocked senders:

  1. Type regedit in the Start menu's Start Search field.
  2. Click regedit under Programs.
  3. Go down the registry tree to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\­Software\­Microsoft\­Windows Mail.
  4. Expand the Junk Mail key.
  5. Select the Block Senders List key.
  6. Select File > Export... from the menu.
  7. Pick a location for your backup and name it Blocked Senders.
  8. Click Save.

How to Delete All Blocked Senders From the Blocked Senders List

  1. Follow the path given above to the Block Senders List key.
  2. Click on the Block Senders List key with the right mouse button.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. Click Yes to remove all entries from the Blocked Senders List.
