The steps and menu names may be slightly different on other versions, but the concepts are the same. Printing Envelopes: Getting Started The first few steps are the same for all of the sets of instructions below. Begin by turning on your printer and connecting it to your Mac via a cable or Wi-Fi, depending on your printer's features. Then, put the blank envelope into the correct tray on your printer, facing the correct direction. Many printers have icons on them, or onscreen instructions, indicating the correct position. How to Print Envelopes on a Mac Using Contacts The easiest but least-known way to print envelopes on a Mac is to use the preinstalled Contacts app. It just makes sense: you've already got addresses stored in the app, so printing them onto envelopes is the next step. Here's what to do: Open the Contacts app and browse or search for the person whose address you want to print. Highlight the person's name so their contact information, including their address, is displayed. Click File > Print (or from the keyboard select Command + P). In the print dialog box, make sure your printer is selected in the Printer menu and then click Print. How to Print Envelopes on a Mac Using Microsoft Word Microsoft Word for the Mac comes pre-loaded with envelope templates you can use to print from your Mac. Here's what to do. Open Microsoft Word, and, from the launch window, type Envelopes in the Search bar at the top right. Double click the envelope template you want. Type your return address and the recipient's address. Click File > Print (or from the keyboard select Command + P). In the print dialog box, make sure your printer is selected in the Printer menu and then click Print. How to Print Envelopes on a Mac Using Pages Pages, the word processing program that comes pre-installed with the macOS, also makes it easy to print envelopes on a Mac using templates. Here's how: Once you've opened Pages, click Stationery in the Choose a Template window, and then double click the envelope template you want (or single click it and then click Create). Type your return address and the recipient's address. Click File > Print (or from the keyboard select Command + P). In the print dialog box, make sure your printer is selected in the Printer menu and then click Print. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know!
