If you’re one of them, you can reserve your own folding smartphone soon. Motorola If you’ve been itching to get your hands on one of Motorola’s nostalgia-laden Razr folding-screen smartphones (and you have a spare $1500), you can pre-order one January 26th on Walmart.com, Verizon.com, and on Motorola’s website. According to The Verge, the devices will ship and (hopefully) show up in stores February 6th. The Razr joins Samsung’s Fold as one of the newest category of mobile devices: folding screen smartphones. The initial pre-order date for Motorola’s Razr was December 26th, making this a month-long wait for eager early adopters. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 vs. Microsoft Surface Duo In addition to the innovative folding high def screen, the Razr boasts a touch-enabled Quick View display on the closed side of the phone that will let you see various notifications, play music, and take selfies without having to open the larger screen. Motorola promises a great photographic experience, too, with features like Night Vision, AI-based image and video manipulation, and a bokeh-effect option. If nothing else, pre-ordering will get you a device that’s sure to be the envy of all your friends and a fantastic conversation starter, at least until the rumored Samsung Galaxy Z Flip shows up.
