Make collages using multiple photos to share on Instagram

One of the big trends on Instagram involves organizing two or more photos into an Instagram collage so that you can show off multiple scenes in one photo. Even though Instagram now has an option to include up to 10 separate photos in one post, sometimes a collage is still a nice way to show off several photos all together.

Instagram doesn't currently have a feature that lets you create collages directly within the app, but there are tons of third-party photo editing apps out there that you can use (plus one of Instagram's very own apps, which you'll discover below). Most of them conveniently let you share your collage photo directly to Instagram.

Here are just nine awesome apps you can use to start easily creating photo collages to be shared on Instagram.

Layout

Instagram itself caught on to the massive collage trend and released its very own collage app (separate from the official Instagram app).

Layout is perhaps one of the most beautiful and intuitive apps out there—with automatic previews and 10 different layout styles you can use for up to nine photos. Unlike a few of the collage apps that make you pay a premium price to unlock more collage options, Layout is totally free.

Hint: You can easily access Layout when you're in Instagram getting ready to post a photo. When you pull up the photo in Instagram, look for the collage icon in the lower right corner of the photo. Tap it and you'll be redirected to the Layout app where you can create your collage.
