The Perry Ellis 8-Wheel Spinner Mobile Office is a very affordable rolling laptop bag with a lightweight, practical design. It can work well as an everyday briefbag for your daily commute, or for any sort of overnight travel.
We purchased the Perry Ellis 8-Wheel Spinner Mobile Office so our expert reviewer could thoroughly test and assess it. Keep reading for our full product review.
It makes life easier to have everything you need, organized and packed into a work bag on any given day. Particularly for busy young professionals with long commutes to work or who often travel on business, a budget-friendly case that does the most is ideal.
Perhaps that was the notion that motivated the creation the Perry Ellis 8-Wheel Spinner Mobile Office, a bag that boasts a sturdy exterior with a roomy, well-organized interior. We tested this tote to see how it holds up under actual usage, and to see if it’s worth the price tag.
Made from nylon and polypropylene, the Perry Ellis 8-Wheel Spinner Mobile Office is a great option for travelers looking for basic but handy features.
Its four pairs of spinner wheels make traveling long distances less of a hassle, and its retractable telescopic handle provides easy maneuverability at two heights, for both shorter and taller users. The hardshell polypropylene frame ensures that the main compartment (where the laptop goes) is well-protected, so you don’t need to worry about minor impacts damaging your computer.
There’s ample room inside the main compartment for whatever the day may demand, from an extra pair of shoes (we know dress shoes can be uncomfortable to commute in) to a set of gym clothes or even an umbrella. It has a padded interior slot designated for up to a 13.50-inch compute. However, we tried to fit something larger—a 15-inch MacBook Pro—and that fit inside like a glove.
There’s ample room inside the main compartment for whatever the day may demand.
A middle pocket leaves room for notebooks, files and papers, while the front pocket organizer offers space to stash pens, headphones and other small items.
There are other small but useful features all over the case. Two sets of straps in the main compartment and a velcro strap over the laptop compartment enhance stability. A built-in name tag allows you label your bag, a precaution if your bag were to get lost. And lockable zippers in both the main compartment and the middle pocket ensure that your valuables are protected from snoops and thieves.
As far as aesthetic goes, it’s worth noting that Perry Ellis is primarily a men’s clothing company, and they extend that same masculine design sensibility to this bag.
The Perry Ellis 8-Wheel Spinner Mobile Office can be found online priced between $60 and $100. For a quality, multifunctional case like this one, this seems a fair amount to pay. It’s actually on the budget end for rolling laptop bags like this, and with its security features and spacious capacity, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
For most buyers, we think the Perry Ellis will suit all of your travel business needs.
With its security features and spacious capacity, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
There aren’t many cases that offer the multifunctionality of this case at this price point. You can find other rolling laptop cases from manufacturers like Alpine Swiss and REYLEO, but these don’t meet the featureset and value of the Mobile Office.
The Alpine Swiss is the same price, but falls short in terms of internal organization and only has a pair of wheels, which makes for less smooth wheeling. Plus, other reviewers have complained about a lack of durability, which will be an issue for frequent travelers or commuters.
The REYLEO bag, on the other hand, is more similar to the Perry Ellis in terms of build quality and capacity, but it costs considerably more. In terms of balancing features and price, the Mobile Office is your best bet.

The Perry Ellis 8-Wheel Spinner Mobile Office fuses economical pricing, comfort and utility in a way that its competitors simply don’t. As long as you’re not looking for something super compact (this bag isn’t likely to fit under the airplane seat), the Mobile Office is an excellent option for those who want a low-budget laptop bag with room for additional items and security features.
