It can be easy to clutter up your Yahoo! Mail account with unorganized folders and messages that get in the way of the important ones.

Fortunately, there's an online service that can monitor your email account and automatically organize messages for you.

What Is the Organizer App?

OtherInbox is a store of web apps that you can use with your email account, and one such app is called Organizer. This tool automatically puts emails into separate folders to declutter your Inbox folder.

The great thing about this type of organization is that you can keep using Yahoo Mail like you do every day. Particular types of messages will automatically move into folders for you so that you can quit trying to organize your mail manually.

For example, newsletters and promotional emails will no longer appear in your Inbox folder, emails related to social networking will appear in an "OIB Social Networking" folder, shopping and auction emails will be put into their own "OIB Shopping" folder, etc.

How to Use OtherInbox Organizer With Yahoo Mail

The first step is to connect your Yahoo Mail account with the Organizer app:

  1. Visit the Organizer Sign up page.
  2. Enter your Yahoo Mail email address in the space provided on that page.
  3. Agree to the terms and then press LET'S GO!.
  4. Login to your Yahoo Mail account when asked.
  5. Let Organizer access your account by choosing Agree when asked.
  6. When asked about the tutorial, either follow through with it or choose Skip the tutorial to jump right into using Organizer.

Now that Organizer can monitor your emails, you'll start to see folders appear in Yahoo Mail that are auto-created based on the emails you're getting.

You can change where emails are categorized by choosing a sender from the Organizer Dashboard, and then selecting a different destination folder.
