The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the fourth installment in the popular The Elder Scrolls video game series. It's an open-world action role-playing game that first came out in 2006 on Windows PC and Xbox 360. A PlayStation 3 version followed in 2007. It's possible to instantly complete quests in the PC version using cheat codes. This trick might be necessary if you encounter a glitch that prevents you from finishing a quest. We'll show you how to do it.

These cheats are only available for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on PC. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions don't support cheat codes.

How to Enter The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Quest Completion Cheats

Follow these instructions at any point while playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to enter cheat codes:

  1. Press the tilde key (~) to open the cheat console.

  2. Type ShowQuestTargets in the cheat console and press Enter to see a list of active quest IDs. Note the ID of the quest you want to complete.

  3. Enter completequest [questID] in the cheat console. This moves the quest into your completed list, but it won't complete the quest for you.

  4. Enter SetStage [questID] 100 in the cheat console to officially complete the quest.

You can use this method for any quest. The code format is: SetStage [questid] stage where stage 100 indicates successful completion. If you just want to complete a specific stage, enter the number of the stage instead.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Quest Cheat Example

If you have trouble completing the Boots of Springheel Jak quest, for example, this is what you need to do to complete it with the cheat:

  1. Press the tilde key (~) to open the cheat console.

  2. Enter ShowQuestTargets and note the quest code, which is TG10Boots.

  3. Enter completequest TG10Boots in the cheat console.

  4. Enter SetStage TG10Boots 100 in the cheat console.

Don't use the caqs cheat code unless you want to complete all quests in the game without giving you any titles for guild factions.
