You can complete a quest in the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion video game using cheat codes for the PC. You might need to use cheats if there is a glitch in the game or if you cannot complete your current quest for any reason. Use the qst cheat code in the console to get the Quest ID and then note the ID. Use the completequest [insertquestid] code to manually complete the quest.

This method only sets the quest as complete, without actually completing it.

Read below to for instructions on using the SetStage code to complete your quest successfully.

Example Code Entry

If you're having trouble completing the Boots of Springheel Jak quest, for example, do the following:  Press the "Tilde" key to open the console, type in the code "qst" and press "Enter." Note the quest code; in this case, it is TG10Boots.

Open the console again, type "completequest TG10Boots" and press "Enter." This will set the quest into the completed quest list, but it won't actually complete the quest for you. To complete the quest correctly, open the console and type, "ShowQuestTargets" -- this will  bring up a list of Quest IDs for completion. Note them. Open the console again, type in the code, "SetStage TG10Boots 100" and press "Enter."

Use this method for any quest. The code format is: SetStage [questid] [100 or 200], where 100 is a successful completion, while 200 signals an incomplete quest.

Do not use the caqs code, as this will complete all quests in the game without giving you any titles for guild factions.
