A new company could shake up how we interact with our devices. NUIO, co-founded by brothers Tom and Greg Wilson, is launching a line of ergonomic accessories designed to prioritize comfort and the human body. Tom, a former Apple product designer, and Greg, a former digital marketing expert, felt the peripheral market hadn’t really evolved, so they set out to change that. Revealed in a press release sent to Lifewire, their main product, the Flow Keyboard, is available for pre-order starting at $399, with shipping beginning in December. What sets it apart is that it’s not just another computer keyboard. This ergonomic keyboard is built around how our bodies naturally move, ditching the traditional stiff, rectangular designs. Tom explains it best: "There are literally no right angles in the human body, yet we spend most of our lives hunched over rigid, rectangular keyboards." NUIO is aiming to change that and help users avoid the discomfort and fatigue so many of us are used to. NUIO Design Inc. NUIO’s products are about blending comfort and functionality, starting with their flagship Flow Keyboard. It's packed with thoughtful features like wireless connectivity, multi-touch gestures, backlit keys, and magnetic wrist pads to make sure your workspace feels as good as it looks. Whether you’re working from home or on the go, it's designed to help you stay productive and comfortable so that "finding your flow" (that's their tagline) is easier without distractions. But the ergonomic keyboard is just the beginning. NUIO’s full lineup includes the Flow Trackpad for $249. To create an even more personalized setup, you can add a small Deskpad for $129 or hold out for the larger version coming soon. For flexible positioning, NUIO offers stands—$99 for a pair or $59 for a single. And if you want maximum comfort, the magnetic Wristpads, priced at $99 for a pair, round out your workspace setup. NUIO Design Inc. NUIO's products also come in a range of sleek colors to match any aesthetic. The metals (keyboard and trackpad) are available in Space Gray, Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Espresso Brown, Deep Green, and Midnight Blue, while the soft goods (deskpad and wristpad) come in either Light (white) or Dark (black). It's all customizable on their website with instant previews to show you what you'll get. NUIO’s products were available for order starting October 15, with the exception of the large Deskpad. However, only the Space Gray versions of the macOS legend keyboard, trackpad, and dark accessories will ship on December 1. The remaining six colorways for the keyboard and trackpad, along with the light accessories, will start shipping on January 1. If you're waiting for the dual OS legend, that will also ship at the start of next year. Learn More The Best Mechanical Keyboards of 2024 Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know!
