In order to watch high definition (HD) programming, you will need a television capable of displaying HD images and a source of programming.

HDTVs

  • HD-ready - These televisions don't have a built-in digital tuner, but they are capable of displaying HD images when connected to an external digital (ATSC) tuner.
  • Integrated HDTV - These televisions have a built-in digital (ATSC) tuner. They are capable of receiving and decoding HD signals from an over-the-air (OTA) broadcast station when connected to an antenna.
