Movies Anywhere Now on Xbox Consoles

The service puts multiple streaming platforms under one roof

Xbox owners now have access to the Movies Anywhere app, a streaming platform that brings together content from other services in one place.

According to Gamespot, the Xbox Series S and X, as well as the Xbox One, One S, and One X all will have the app.

Movies Anywhere is a streaming platform that allows people to bring together content from various platforms like YouTube and Apple TV, as well as some satellite providers like DirecTV. What makes this app stand out above the rest of the console’s streaming apps are its unique features, such as hosting online watch parties.

Last year, Movies Anywhere added Screen Pass, which lets people share and watch eligible movies with their friends for a limited amount of time at no cost to the other person.

The app even supports 4K resolution, HDR 10, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. But keep in mind that the original Xbox One does not support 4K or HDR video playback.

Movies Anywhere is free to sign up for, but you will have to pay to watch certain movies or shows or take advantage of Screen Pass.

It’s important to point out that Movies Anywhere shares your data. Looking at the app’s Privacy Policy, the company behind it shares personal information about your account, which titles you watch, and other activities with participating studios and service providers.

Users can refuse to share most of the collected data, but it will still share some.
