Some of you might still be rocking a classic like the Droid 2. We haven't forgotten about you, so we've got this quick and simple tutorial in case you want to learn how to remove its back cover. Fortunately, getting access to your MicroSD memory card and the battery is as easy as cooking eggs sunny side down. All you really need is a quick slide and a flip.

First, turn over your Motorola Droid 2 and slide the back cover downwards. Don’t worry if you don’t happen to have thumbs of steel like yours truly in the image above. Feel free to use both hands to get better grip and leverage. With enough pressure, your Droid 2’s back cover should slide down.

From here, you can see the battery and the MicroSD card, which is tucked ninja-like on the upper left. This should be where you can access the SIM card as well if you have the Droid 2 Global version. Sadly, we didn’t have access to a Droid 2 with a SIM card while putting together this tutorial.

Next, let’s take out that battery.

To take out the Droid 2 battery, insert the tip of your nail into the slot at the bottom and pull out. It should come free without much force.

Taking out the memory card isn’t as easy as removing the battery, but it's still fairly simple, once you know how.

The key here is using leverage. You can either try sliding the MicroSD memory card out by pulling on the groove on its edge or just pinching it and pulling out.

To put the memory card back, just slide it in and push.

It's just as simple to replace the back cover of your Droid 2 as it was to remove it. All you need to do is line up the fasteners and slide the cover back into place.

You’ll know you’re doing it right if the metal fasteners on the bottom of the back cover align with their respective slots. Just lay in the cover smoothly and slide it into position. You shouldn't need to force it. If you do, something's probably misaligned, and you should check it out before you accidentally break something.

With the Motorola Droid 2 Back cover aligned into place, simply push it until it clicks.

It doesn't require much grip. Just use your nails to push down on the groove by the metal trim to snap the cover back into place.

Voila. Your Droid 2 is back together and ready to go.
