As a blogger, Matthew has spent nearly a decade breaking down pop culture online, from video games to movies and everything in between. He led news coverage on Cinelinx from 2010 until 2012, when he left to start his own independent website, Geek Binge, which managed to attract over 50,000 visitors every month. Currently, Matthew works in the communications department of his alma mater, New Mexico State University. In his free time, Matthew writes about entertainment on the blog Freshly Popped Culture. 


Matthew holds bachelor’s degrees from New Mexico State University in Journalism & Media Studies, as well as Digital Filmmaking. Currently, he is working towards getting his Master’s degree in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.
