Matthew Burris is a former writer for Lifewire, where he wrote primarily about electrical components for almost two years. Matthew's work experience includes working as a co-op engineer at Sandia National Laboratories and supporting the U.S. Navy and DOD for six years as a field engineer and design engineer. He is the founder of RT6 Engineering, a turnkey electronic product development company and is active in the local startup community.

Matthew got started with science and engineering at an early age and knew that he wanted to design and develop new products when he was in middle school. He's an engineer, inventor, designer, small business owner, writer, and startup enthusiast.
