Luis Chavez is a former Lifewire writer. He began his career as a Technology Intern at KIPP New Jersey writing out steps and processes for new staff members during their technology onboarding.
His passion for technology and his troubleshooting skills allowed him to obtain a full-time position after his summer internship. In this position, Luis's primary goal was to ensure that staff members knew how to use all the software and technology available to them via How-To-Guides and other Quick Start Guides.
Currently, as a System Administrator, Luis is in charge of several system integrations, account provisioning, and ensuring that the IT Support Specialists on his team have enough knowledge of every new system via several How-To-Guides. He possesses a broad knowledge of Microsoft Office products and devices with different operating systems including MacOS, Windows, Android, and iOS. Luis also has a strong programming background and has experience in the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, HTML, and SQL.
Luis enjoys helping people learn new content and finding more efficient ways to take advantage of the technological resources they have at hands.
Luis obtained a B.S. in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He also holds the following certifications:
