Lenovo Announces Yoga Tab 13 for Global Markets in July

The $680 tablet can work as a display, and can stand up or hang from the wall

Lenovo has announced the 13-inch Yoga Tab 13—a global release of its Yoga Pad Pro—which can function as an external display and can hang on the wall using a built-in stand.

The Yoga Tab 13 looks to be the same model as the 13-inch Yoga Pad Pro, which was released in China earlier this year, with the biggest difference being global availability; the Yoga Tab 13 will become available globally in July.

The Yoga Tab 13 will likely work very well as an external monitor for other devices like the Nintendo Switch, in addition to its more standard functions.

The Yoga Tab 13 features a built-in stand that allows you to adjust the viewing angle when placed on a surface, but also functions as both a carrying handle and a way to hang it on the wall. That, combined with its size and Dolby Atmos speakers, makes it useful for watching media or portable video game play using the available Micro-HDMI port.

As a standalone tablet, the Yoga Tab 13 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and runs Android 11 as its operating system. It offers 128GB of storage along with 8GB of memory, along with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

The 13-inch (2160 x 1350) LTPS display uses a Qualcomm Adreno 650 GPU and features a 10-point touchscreen with a 60Hz refresh rate. It also claims up to 12 hours of battery life, testing with the Google Power Load Test Tool.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 is expected to release in July with a price of $679.99.
