This article will teach you how to use the Galaxy Book Pro 360 running Windows 10 in laptop mode. How to Use the Galaxy Book Pro 360 in Laptop Mode Samsung's Galaxy Book Pro 360 is a 2-in-1 laptop available with a 13.3-inch or 15.6-inch display. Both models can convert from laptop to tablet mode and back again. Laptop mode is the Galaxy Book Pro 360's default configuration. It will remain the default unless you activate tablet mode. Once the device is tablet mode, you'll need to manually switch out of tablet mode to return to laptop mode. Here's how to do it. Pivot the Galaxy Book Pro 360's display so it's perpendicular (or near to it—you don't need to be precise) to the keyboard. In other words, the display should be above the keyboard. The base of the 2-in-1 should sit on your desk with the keyboard facing up. Open the Windows Action Center. You can do this by clicking the notification icon on the far right-hand side of the taskbar. The Action Center will slide out from the right side of the screen. You'll find a row of tiles on the bottom. It's collapsed by default, so tap Expand. The Windows Action Center remembers the expanded or collapsed state, so you don't need to expand the menu if you've done it before. You will see an array of sixteen tiles instead of four if you've selected expand previously. Proceed to the next step. Find the tile labeled Tablet Mode. Tap it to turn off Tablet Mode. The apps, windows, and menus you have open will automatically adjust to the new mode. How to Automatically Turn on Laptop Mode The steps above can be completed in a few seconds once you know them, but you don't have to perform them at all. Windows includes a setting to automatically turn tablet mode on and off for you. The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 ships with this setting off, but you can turn it on. Here's how. Tap Start. Select Settings, which is represented by a gear icon. Open System. Select Tablet in the list of options on the left-hand side of the window. You'll see a drop-down menu labeled When I use this device as a tablet. Open the drop-down and then select Always switch to tablet mode. The change takes effect immediately. Close the window to exit. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 will now automatically turn on tablet mode when you rotate the display 360 degrees so it's flat against the bottom of the device. Tablet mode will also turn off when you move the display away from that position. What Is the Galaxy Book Pro 360's Laptop Mode? Technically, the Galaxy Book Pro 360, like most Windows 2-in-1 devices, doesn't have a laptop mode. You will notice there's no setting or option labeled laptop mode, and you'll find nothing if you perform a Windows Search for the term. Instead, Tablet mode is either on or off. The 2-in-1 will work like any other Windows laptop when tablet mode is off. It's implied the device is in laptop mode when tablet mode is off, but you won't find this referenced anywhere in the Windows operating system.
