Introduction

Microsoft Edge is the default browser on Microsoft platforms, including Windows 10. Edge has many keyboard shortcuts that help you get your work done quickly and efficiently. Some of these shortcuts work for the older Internet Explorer 11 for Windows, as well. Here's a list of Edge keyboard shortcuts along with the top Internet Explorer 11 shortcuts.

The information in this article applies to the new Microsoft Edge browser on Windows 10 (81.0.416.62) as well as Internet Explorer 11 for Windows.

Searching, Favorites, and URLs  
Save the current web page as a Favorite. Ctrl+D
Open a search query in the address bar. Ctrl+E
Find keyword(s) on the active page. Ctrl+F
Jump to the next match to your Find Bar search. Ctrl+G
Display your browsing history in a new tab. Ctrl+H
Open Downloads in a new tab. Ctrl+J
Select the URL in the address bar to edit. Ctrl+L
Show or hide the Favorites bar. Ctrl+Shift+B
Save all open tabs as favorites in a new folder. Ctrl+Shift+D
Jump to the previous match to your Find Bar search. Ctrl+Shift+G
Paste and search or Paste and go (if it's a URL). Ctrl+Shift+L
Open Favorites management. Ctrl+Shift+O

Select the URL in the address bar. F4
