Experience

Kevin's online writing roots date back to the mid-1990s. The internet just arrived and he needed a good PC to run DOOM. Like magic, his uncle produced a box of unused PCs and components, saying "dig in." That box ignited a chain of events allowing Kevin to leave his offline desk job and pursue online journalism in the gaming and technology fields.

His first paid gig covered the Sega Dreamcast for the now-defunct UGO network in 1999. After that, he worked for a string of websites covering PC and console games until landing a job at Tom's Games in 2008. When the site shut down, Kevin shifted over to Tom's Hardware to cover PC hardware and other related devices. His work included daily news, reviews, and event coverage.

After leaving Tom's Hardware in 2015, his hardware and gaming writing appeared on Maximum PC, Digital Trends, and Android Authority. He continued to write news for those outlets, along with device benchmarking and reviews, how-to articles, "best of" product roundups, and live event coverage.

Over the years, he's worked closely with Intel, Nvidia, and AMD, along with PC manufacturers like Acer, Asus, Cooler Master, Gigabyte, Lenovo, Logitech, and many more.
