iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 Public Beta Now Available

The beta includes the latest Safari changes

Apple has released the first public beta for iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, allowing users to download and start testing the latest changes made to the operating systems.

Apple released the latest version of the developer beta for iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 on Wednesday. Now, though, the tech giant has released the public beta version for the two new operating systems to public testers, too. According to 9To5Mac, the beta can be downloaded from Apple’s website, and the final version of iOS and iPadOS 15 won’t be complete until this fall.

iOS 15 will include a slew of updates when it’s finished, including updates to messages, notifications, and even a new Focus mode designed to help users block out the extra noise. Photos and Wallet also are getting some love, and Apple plans to add several new changes to FaceTime, including the ability to make calls that include users on Windows and Android devices.

The current beta for iOS 15 includes some of these changes, as well as some big differences in Safari, which users may be interested in checking out.

iPadOS 15 will include many of the same changes introduced with the new iPhone’s operating system, as well as a change to how Home screen widgets work, and even multitasking updates.

Again, the full suite of new changes won’t be in just yet, but users can download the beta if they are interested in checking out the current state of iPadOS 15.

As always, Apple warns that users shouldn’t install betas on their daily device, since these builds are unstable and may include some bugs as Apple works to iron out any kinks that pop up along the way.
