How to Replace the SIM and Memory Card in a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

The SIM and memory cards are located in the same spot on both devices: the top edge of the phone, which is marked by a thin rectangular slot with a tiny pinhole. Make sure your phone is turned off before you begin:

1. Find your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge ejection pin. If you bought your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge brand new, you will find a small metal key in the box, which you can use to access the SIM and memory cards.

   If you don't have the ejection pin, you can use a straightened paper clip.

2. Open the SIM/memory card tray. Insert the ejection pin (or paperclip) into the pinhole to make the tray pop out. Gently pull on the edges of the tray to remove it.

3. Place the SIM/memory card on the tray. Match the shape of the recessed areas with your SIM card and/or microSD card. The name and brand on both cards should be facing up, and the gold part of the SIM card should be facing down.

   For devices that do not have a SIM or memory card installed yet, you’ll notice two rectangular openings. The larger one is for the memory card, and the smaller inner recess is for the SIM card. 

4. Replace the tray. Gently insert the tray back into the phone and push until it is securely in place.

How to Replace the SIM and Memory Card in a Samsung Galaxy S7

For those who own the regular Samsung Galaxy S7, the procedure is basically the same:

1. Open the SIM/memory card tray. Use the ejection pin or a straightened paperclip to press into the pinhole for the SIM and memory card tray. The tray should pop out after using the requisite amount of force.

2. Replace the SIM/MicroSD card and then replace the tray. Align your SIM or memory card into the tray, then carefully slide the tray back into the slot opening. Press on it until the tray is securely sealed.
