Ian Pullen is a former freelance contributor for Lifewire, where he specialized in both commercial and open-source graphics applications.

In his extensive experience as a graphic designer and web developer, he has worked professionally with industry-standard design applications but maintains a strong interest in free and open-source graphics software.

Ian's first professional role was with a regional newspaper and magazine publisher, where he moved from traditional paste-up work to computer-based design. Since then, he has worked in book publishing and promotional and marketing design. He helped establish and build new graphic design departments for two existing businesses that had been looking to expand their offerings.
