Hewlett-Packard, or HP, is one of the oldest and most trusted names in computers, printers, scanners, and most of the other hardware that students need to stock up on to ensure a successful academic career. HP doesn't have its own in-house student discount program, but it does work with Unidays to verify enrollment and provide students with pretty big discount codes. By signing up with Unidays, you can save up to 55 percent on laptops for school, printers, calculators, and more.

Who is Eligible For the HP Student Discount?

To qualify for HP student discount codes through Unidays, you need to meet a few basic requirements that pertain to age and enrollment at a qualifying school.

To use Unidays, you must be:

  • At least 16 years old
  • Currently enrolled at a college or university
  • Able to access to either a .edu email issued by your school, or a credit card style student ID from your school

Unidays does not allow parents to sign up for their children. Students must sign up on their own, and they have to meed the age and enrollment requirements.

What Does the HP Student Discount Get You?

HP student discounts through Unidays vary based on the current offers. Coupon codes typically provide a discount between 35 and 55 percent on a variety of HP products, including laptops, printers, calculators, and more.

Since the available HP discounts through Unidays aren't set in stone, the percentage that you can save, and the items that are eligible for specific coupons, changes from time to time. To find out exactly how much you can save at any given time, you have to actually check the Unidays site to see what's available.

After you sign up for Unidays and verify your enrollment, you can view the current offers and generate coupon codes to use in the shopping cart on HP's site. Since codes aren't applied until you reach the shopping cart, you won't see your student discount reflected in any of the prices on the HP website prior to checkout.

How Does HP Verify Student Enrollment?

Since HP doesn't operate its own in-house student discount plan, they don't verify student enrollment. The third party service that is able to provide HP student discount codes, Unidays, has the ability to verify student enrollment by checking records.

Unidays is able to verify student enrollment at most four year universities and colleges, and manual verification is available for many schools that aren't already in the system.

This same student discount service is used by a lot of other big companies, like Dell, and you only have to sign up once. Once you have signed up and verified your enrollment, you can take advantage of Unidays student discount codes for hundreds of different companies.
