Just get an Apple Watch? The Apple Watch is very easy to use, but learning how takes a little bit of practice. If you’re new to the Apple Watch, here’s a rundown on some of the Apple Watch’s biggest features and how to use them: 

Understanding the 3 Versions of the Apple Watch

There are three different versions of the Apple Watch: the Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch Collection, and Apple Watch Edition. 

On a software level, all three versions of the Apple Watch are identical. The best way to explain the difference between them is that it’s like picking a space gray iPhone 6 over a gold one. Instead of color, the difference between versions of the Apple Watch is what the watch is made of.

Just like your iPhone runs software called iOS, your Apple Watch runs its software called Watch OS. The software is responsible for how your Apple Watch operates and controls most of the functionality and even the security of your Watch.  Similar to iOS, Apple will routinely offer updates to Watch OS that offers improvements of or that fix bugs as they come up. It’s important that you keep your Apple Watch's software up to date, to make sure you're not only getting the most from your Watch but also that you don’t have any issues with bugs or security problems that Apple has already discovered and corrected.

The Apple Watch has a number of pretty obvious features including the ability to make and receive phone calls, get directions, and monitor your movement. How to Try On an Apple Watch

Apple already has a pretty nifty tool up online to help you decide what Apple Watch is right for you.Take a look at the options, and get a good feel for what you want now rather than waiting for release day. Some models and bands are likely to sell out, so if you’re set on getting an Apple Watch on the 24th make sure you have a few backups in mind in case your first choice isn’t available. Here are four Apple Watch questions you should know the answer to before you decide to buy.

Share Your Location

Sharing your location is very simple on the Apple Watch through the Messages app. if you’re texting with someone on the Watch, press and hold on the screen to get a “Send Location” button. Tap that button to instantly send the person you’re chatting with a pin with your current coordinates.

You’re not stuck with the default text messages that came on the Apple Watch. You can  customize the built-in messages by going into the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, selecting Messages, and then “Default Replies.” From there you’ll be able to see all of the replies that are currently loaded onto your iPhone and swap out any you don’t like, with something new.
