How to Stream Sunday Night Football

Catch some of the most exciting games of the year without using cable

If you have a cable or satellite subscription, the easiest, most reliable, and highest-quality Sunday Night Football stream is available directly from NBC. Use your television provider username and password to log in to NBCSports.com or the NBC Sports app for iOS or Android. NBC will also stream every Sunday Night Football game on Peacock.

Streaming services like fuboTV, Sling TV, and others also include NBC in most packages. However, NBC isn't available to stream in every market. See our guides to Thursday Night Football and Monday Night Football for details on those games.

How to Watch the Official NBC Sunday Night Football Live Stream

NBCUniversal has the sole rights to broadcast Sunday Night Football, which includes streaming it online. That means the only way to watch an official stream of any of these exciting games is if you have a qualifying cable or satellite subscription. If you live in a qualifying geographic area, you can also watch through streaming services like Sling TV.

Through TV Anywhere, NBC allows viewers with qualifying television subscriptions to stream Sunday Night Football through NBC.com.

If you have a qualifying cable or satellite subscription, here's how you can stream Sunday Night Football online:

  1. Use your favorite web browser to navigate to nbcsports.com/sunday-night-football and select Watch.

During the off-season, this URL redirects to nbcsports.com. If you want to make sure you're logged in and ready to go ahead of time, click on any live game, and you are prompted to select your provider.

  2. Click on any live programming and select Sign in with your cable provider.

  3. Locate and select your television provider. If you don't see your provider, select See All Providers, and then scroll through the list.

If you subscribe to a streaming service like fuboTV, look for it in the list of providers.

  4. When prompted, enter the username and password for your cable or satellite provider and click Login. Depending on which provider you have, this step may be automated.

  5. If you have a valid cable or satellite subscription plan, you can watch live programming, including Sunday Night Football.

Live Stream NBC Sunday Night Football on Your Phone

In addition to watching Sunday Night Football directly on the NBC website, the network also streams the games via its mobile apps. These apps are available for Android and iOS, but they require a valid cable, TV provider, or satellite subscription if you want to watch live television. Otherwise, you are stuck with clips and video on demand (VOD) content.

You can also stream Sunday Night Football directly on your phone.

If you have a valid subscription, here's how you can stream Sunday Night Football through the NBC Sports app:

  1. Download and install the NBC Sports app on your phone, tablet, or another compatible device.

  2. Launch the NBC Sports app.

  3. Tap Menu (three horizontal lines).

  4. Tap NBC Sports Sign In.

  5. Tap Select Provider.

  6. Locate and tap your TV provider.

Some streaming services, like fuboTV and YouTube TV, can be used in place of a cable or satellite provider. If you subscribe to one of these services, look for it in the list.

  7. Tap Continue.

You may need to provide your username and password if the system fails to automatically detect your provider information.

  8. Verify that you are logged in by looking for your provider in the upper-right corner of the app. If you have a qualifying television subscription, you will now be able to stream Sunday Night Football.

  9. Open the app on game day, locate the Sunday Night Football game, and tap it to watch.

Stream Sunday Night Football With Peacock

In addition to streaming every Sunday Night Football game on the NBC website and app, you can also find the games on the NBCUniversal Peacock streaming service. You'll need a Peacock Premium ($4.99 per month) or Peacock Premium Plus ($9.99 per month) membership to enjoy the action.

Peacock is available on a variety of devices and platforms, including web browsers, Amazon Fire TV devices, Android TVs, Apple TVs, Roku devices, iOS and Android mobile devices, and more. If you're an existing Xfinity or Cox customer, check to see if you have full access to Peacock Premium.

Which Television Streaming Services Include Sunday Night Football?

Live streaming television sites are a less expensive alternative to cable and satellite television for cord-cutters. Most of these services include the major networks, like ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox. However, the availability of live network television is limited on a geographic basis.

Most streaming services include NBC, with some exceptions like Sling Orange, so check the channel lineup before signing up.

If you live in an area where the local NBC station has partnered with online streaming services, here are your options:

In some cases, you can use the login information from a television streaming service in place of a cable subscription to sign in to the NBC website or app and watch Sunday Night Football. This may be an option even if you live in an area where NBC cannot stream live through these sites. Check with each streaming service for more details.
