For Instagram post creators, learning how to see who saves your pictures on Instagram can be useful for learning what kind of posts your followers enjoy the most. This can often be more important than the number of likes you get, as saving a post to an Instagram Collection means someone not only likes your content, but wants to refer back to it again in the future or share it with a friend.

How to Know if Someone Saves Your Picture on Instagram

Unlike when someone likes one of your posts on Instagram, you won’t get a notification for when someone saves a post to an Instagram Collection. The only way to see who saves your pictures on Instagram is to view a post’s advanced insights, which are available to those with Business or Creator accounts.

Anyone can change their Personal Instagram account to a Business or Creator account. Just select Settings > Account, then choose either Switch to Business Account or Switch to Creator Account.

If you have an Instagram Creator or Business account, you can see how many times your posts have been saved by doing the following:

  1. Open the Instagram app on your iOS or Android device.

  2. Tap the Profile icon to view your own posts.

The Profile icon is the one on the far-right of the bottom menu that looks like a person’s silhouette.

  3. Tap the post you want to view the save count for.

  4. Once the post has loaded, tap View Insights under the image or video.

  5. A variety of stats will appear. The bookmark icon refers to how many times someone has saved this post to one of their Collections.
