Need to know how to save a picture from the Google image search results? You have two options: you can either save a file on the device you're currently using, or you can store it in your Google Collections. Save a Picture as a Local File on Windows or Mac Follow these steps to save a picture or image to your desktop device. Right-click an image in your Google search results. This will bring up the context menu. On Mac, you can also control-click (Ctrl+click) to open the context menu. If you have a touchscreen, long tap to bring up the context menu. Select Save Image As. Choose a location and filename. Select Save and you're done! Save a Picture to Google Collections If you want to use Google Collections you need to be signed in to your Google account. If you're signed in, when you select an image from the search results, there's an option to add the image to a ‘collection’. Follow the instructions below to add or remove an image from a collection, and to view all your saved images in your collections. If you have previously added the image to a collection, trying to add it again will remove it instead. How to Save a Picture From Google on Android and iOS On a phone or tablet, tap the Add to icon below the selected image; it appears as an outline bookmark icon and has no text. By default, the image will be stored to the ‘Favorites’ collection, or whatever collection you last viewed. After saving the image, a notification appears at the bottom of the screen, telling you which collection the image has been added to. Tap CHANGE to store the image in a different collection or even create a New collection to save the image to. If you've already added the image to a collection, tap add to collection again to remove it from the collection. To indicate you've already added the image, the add to collection icon will have a solid color. How to View Saved Google Images on Android and iOS On a phone or tablet, you can access the Google search menu from any Google search results page. Strangely, it isn’t accessible from the Google home page; you need to search for something first. The menu then appears as the standard three horizontal lines, representing a cascading menu. Run an image search to bring up the search results page. Tap the Menu icon, represented by three horizontal lines. Tap Collections. Thumbnails of your most recently added images appear at the top, with a list of collections below. Tap a collection to view the images in it. You're done! How to Save and Remove Google Images on Windows or Mac On a laptop or desktop internet browser, perform an image search, then select an image to expand it. Select Add to to save the image to a collection. Once you've added an image to a collection, "Add on" will change to "Added." Select Added to remove an image from a collection. That's it! How to View Saved Images in a Collection on Windows or Mac There are two ways to access images saved to collections: Select Collections below the search bar in image search results.On Google.com, under the list of Google Apps. Select More, represented by a 3x3 grid of squares, then select Collections. The Collections appears just like it would on a phone or tablet, with thumbnails of your most recently added images at the top and a list of collections below.
