Like so much of Twitter, the convenience of using it for video is it's right there. You already use it to keep up to date with news and what your friends are up to. It's also a great place to share interesting videos and clips from your daily life. Twitter does put a few technical limitations on videos you can share: The file type must be either MP4 or MOV (for mobile).Videos must be in MP4 video format.Videos must be under 2 minutes and 20 seconds in length. Videos must be under 512 MB in size with a bitrate of 25 Mbps or lower.Videos must be between 32x32 and 1920x1200 resolution. The aspect ratio (the ratio of the video width to height) must be 2.39:1 or less.The maximum frame rate is 40 fps. How to Post a Video on Twitter From Twitter.com All videos you post on the Twitter website need to be in MP4 format. If the video isn't in that format, convert it using a free video conversion software tool. Go to https://twitter.com and log in to your account. Click either What's happening at the top of the screen or Tweet in the upper-right corner to create a new tweet. In the new tweet area, click the picture box icon. Browse for the video you want to upload, then click Choose. If the video is too long, Twitter automatically displays the Trim Video option. Tap Done when you've made the changes. Type anything you want to add to your tweet. The video doesn't add to the character length of your tweet. Click Tweet to upload the video to Twitter. Videos posted from the Twitter mobile app can be MP4 or MOV format. Open the Twitter app. Tap the Create Tweet icon. Tap the picture icon. Browse your Camera Roll and albums for the video you want to upload, then tap the video. You'll get a chance to edit the video before you post. Tap Done. Type the tweet you want to accompany your video, then tap Tweet. How to Capture New Video for Twitter To use the Twitter mobile app to record a new video to share to your profile: You'll need to give the app permission to use your camera and microphone to use this option. In the Twitter mobile app, tap the New Tweet button. Tap the Camera icon. Tap and hold the shutter button to record your video.
