It includes information on adding a tracker to your Fitbit account. How to Factory Reset a Fitbit Charge 2 Doing a factory reset of your Fitbit Charge 2 deletes all previously stored data, as well as any data that hasn't yet synced to your Fitbit account. This can be handy if you want to sell or give away your Charge 2 and don't want any traces of your data hanging around. Unlike other Fitbit models, such as the Charge HR or Charge 3, the Charge 2 has no hardware button you can press to reset the device. Here's how to do it. Navigate to fitbit.com and log in to your Fitbit account. Select the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to view your device. Select Charge 2 in the drop-down menu to go into the settings for the device. Once you're in the Charge 2 settings, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Remove this Charge 2 from your account. Mike's Unboxing Once you've removed the device, it's no longer paired or synced with your Fitbit app, and this resets your Charge 2 to its original factory condition. Removing your Charge 2 from the account removes your tracking data from view. In some cases, you may want to keep a history of your activity. To preserve this data, do a Data Export before removing the device from your Fitbit account. If you're experiencing technical issues with your Fitbit, you probably don't need to do a full factory reset. Try doing a quick restart of your tracker. This can help if your Fitbit isn't syncing, the display won't turn on, or it isn't tracking your steps or activity correctly. How to Add a Tracker Back to Your Fitbit Account If you want to add your Charge 2 (or any Fitbit device) back to your account, all you need to do is sync the device to your Fitbit account using the Fitbit Connect app for Mac or Windows, or choose the Set Up a Device option in the Fitbit mobile app. Once the device has been paired to your account again, you should find that your saved tracking data and activity history is still available for you to view in your account dashboard or mobile app. The Best Fitbit Charge 2 Features You Should Be Using Was this page helpful?
