SoundCloud is a social platform for sharing and listening to music for free. It's a great tool for exploring new and upcoming artists, particularly because users from around the world can upload their own audio files and songs for you to listen to at no cost. If you'd like to enjoy SoundCloud music offline, there are several ways to download songs and other media.

You must be logged in to your SoundCloud account on the desktop to download content. You can't download content from SoundCloud's iOS or Android mobile app.

SoundCloud's Download Feature

Downloading music from SoundCloud seems simple. Artists have control over whether their content is available for download, so if you see a Download button beneath the track or under the More option, simply select it to download and save that content. If you don't see a Download button, it's because the creator hasn't made that content available for download.

But there are some problems with SoundCloud's native download feature. First, most content on SoundCloud isn't available for download. Second, some content with a download option may send you to a third-party website to download the media you want. To proceed with the download, you may have to register an account with the third-party service or log in to another service, such as Twitter or Facebook. While this method is typically legitimate, as it's set up by the artist, it can be annoying and may link your social media accounts to a media page you may never use again.

Users with a SoundCloud Go or Go+ subscription can save content for offline listening on a mobile device. Subscriptions run from $4.99 a month to $9.99 a month, and a 30-day free trial is offered.

Download From SoundCloud With a Browser Extension

Finding a SoundCloud downloader browser extension is another way to save SoundCloud content and enjoy your favorite free-to-listen music offline. Search for "SoundCloud downloader" in the Chrome or Firefox web store and find the extension you'd like to use.

Downloaders are frequently removed from the extension web stores because they violate SoundCloud's terms of service. Once installed, you should be able to use them without issue, but if they're removed from the web store you won't be able to install them again.

Some downloaders add a Download button to all SoundCloud media pages, while others add a SoundCloud icon to your browser where you can paste a SoundCloud web address and download the content.

Installing such extensions may be a security risk, as they could open your computer to viruses or other vulnerabilities.

Download With a Third-Party Downloader

Finding a third-party website with a SoundCloud downloader is another way to save SoundCloud content for offline listening. This method is useful because it doesn't require you to install anything. However, be aware that third-party sites have the same security risks as extensions.

If you're willing to take a risk, KlickAud is a popular SoundCloud downloader website. Here's how it works:

  1. Find a song or other content you'd like to download from SoundCloud.

  2. Copy the URL from the address bar.

  3. Navigate to the KlickAud site (or to another third-party website with a SoundCloud downloader).

Downloader websites may have bugs or other issues that prevent a smooth download. If a website you frequent is on the fritz, search for another and test it out until you find one you're comfortable using. Search Google for "download from SoundCloud" or "SoundCloud downloader" to find additional options.
